The Weekend Set: Week 13
Week 13 College Baseball Recap: Who's In & Who's Out? Key Storylines, and more!

What else did we expect with a TON of upsets in every conference. More than usual it felt like with six ranked teams falling to unranked teams this weekend, absolute chaos as we approach the final week of the season.
Florida State takes control of the #1 spot in the country while Arkansas and Texas slip, LSU gets their name back in the mix while we welcomed three new teams this week into the rankings.
ANOTHER New Top Dog:

In the biggest story line of college baseball this weekend, the Missouri Tigers entered 0-24 in SEC coming into this weekend as they traveled into College Station to take on Texas A&M. Not only did they comeback and take game one, they swept the Aggies holding them to just eight runs. This is more than likely the nail in the coffin in their postseason dreams as they’d need to sweep Georgia in Athens to have any life.
Now that’s a SWEEP, Mizzou not only gets their first SEC win of the season but also their first SEC series win over Texas A&M
This could be the nail in the coffin for the Aggies postseason hopes 😬

Florida is officially doing what Florida does best, playing elite baseball in April and May. With a sweep over Texas in Austin, capped off by seven shutout innings by Aidan King on Sunday, the Gators have now rattled off five consecutive SEC series wins.
The Florida Gators already have #2 Texas on the ropes looking to make it two straight series losses for the Horns 👀 Florida making their usual late season resurgence

This week in our composite rankings, three new teams join the party:
#18 Florida Gators
#22 Southern Miss Golden Eagles
#25 Northeastern Huskies
By the way, Northeastern has now rattled off 20 STRAIGHT WINS🔥🔥🔥
The Huskies are 29-1 in their last 30 and haven’t lost a series since February when they traveled to Hawai’i 😳 Give the Huskies a two-seed!!

Climbing the Ladder:
Florida: Death. Taxes. Florida playing elite baseball in April and May. Traveled into Austin and walked away with three wins to cap off their fifth straight SEC series victory as the Gators quest for another trip to Omaha is in full swing. Despite their 1-11 start to conference play, they’ve completely flipped the script and look more dangerous than ever.
Troy: The Trojans have gotten very little love this season, and for the only team in the country to not lose a weekend series, we need to talk about them more. The Sun Belt Championship is going to come down to the wire between them, Coastal Carolina, and Southern Miss and quite honestly I believe all three are more than capable of making big noise in the postseason.
Alabama: The Crimson Tide strung together an extremely impressive week beating Troy on Tuesday and following it up with a series win over Georgia this weekend. Bama has been a team we’ve struggled to place our fingers on but continue to show out against some of the best teams in the country.
Slump Alert:
Clemson: We talked for weeks on end about Clemson finding ways to win regardless of what their stats look like, well the bump in the road for the Tigers has been awfully large. After a home series loss at the hands of the red-hot Duke Blue Devils, Clemson has now last three straight weekend sets.
Tennessee: Another home series loss for the Vols as the Vanderbilt Commodores walk away with a huge series win on Sunday. The defending National Champions have now lost their last four SEC series and five of their last six. Tony V’s club might be reeling as they approach the final weekend heading into Fayetteville and could potentially fall out of a host spot if another loss hits the resume.
West Virginia: The Mountaineers finally hit their bump in the road as they traveled to Manhattan where Kansas State would take them down 2-1. With Kansas on deck, WVU probably needs a sweep to get a host seed as this weekend killed most of the chances for a Morgantown Regional.
How back is Duke?????? Yes.
The team we thought they’d be all season has finally arrived 🔥🔥🔥 huge Top-10 road series win over Clemson
